Sixth class has been very busy composing poetry. We have some exceptional talent in Castlegar!
Where is he we need him so?
He`s probably dancing in the snow,
Does he know its Christmas Eve?
Elves go get him we need to leave!
He`s lost or probably deernapped!
Don`t come back until the pole is lapped,
Santa we`ve got him he`s in the shed,
Janey mack Blitzen I thought you were dead!
You`ll have to fly with 7 this year ,
Unless you find another reindeer.
Go get Rudolph he`s here somewhere,
Exclaimed Santa with a glare!
Rudolph will you guide the sleigh?
Or else there’ll be no presents on Christmas day!
Ok come on lets go already!
Attach me to the sleigh stiff and steady,
All the reindeer started to trot,
And off they went like a shot! By Aaron Fahy 6th Class.

The Day Before Christmas
We Have Been Helping With The Cake,
And Licking Out The Pan,
And Wrapping Up The Packages As Neatly As We Can,
We Have Hung Up Our Stockings,
Beside The Open Grate,
And Now There Is Nothing More To Do
Santa Santa please come quick
Blitzen was hit by a falling stick
The other reindeer quickly dash
And the elves came running in a flash
Blitzen Blitzen are you okay?
Called a voice not far away
Who broke that branch off the tree?
One of the elves said it was me
I’m sorry Santa but don’t you fear
Your sleigh will fly with seven reindeer .

Christmas is Coming by Jane Moore
I love Christmas it is my favourite time of year,
I sing songs and spread lots of cheer.
I open my presents and see what I get,
And hope it is going to something I will never forget.
I will eat my dinner and eat lots of sweets,
Then watch a movie and eat more treats.
So now I am tired and I am going to bed,
with dreams of Christmas going around in my head.
A thuismitheoir a chara,
As part of our ongoing preparation for Confirmation 6th class will have their Service of Light on Wednesday March 9th at 7pm in Castlegar Church. We ask each child to bring his/her baptismal candle to the service.
During this service your child will have the opportunity of taking the pledge. Currently in class, as part of our S.P.H.E programme we are studying about ‘alcohol’. We would be grateful if you discuss the importance of taking the pledge with your son/daughter.
We look forward to seeing you at the Service of Light.
